Audio from Alpine, Sony, Pioneer, Focal, JL Audio, Hertz and Audison, plus the Alpine Status reference range (in-store only). Dash cams from Thinkware and RoadVue. Alarms, immobilisers (Ghost II, Dynamco) and GPS trackers (Viper). Sound deadening, reverse cameras, multimedia and door cards complete the range.

You need an amplifier if you want a real step up from factory sound, if you're adding a subwoofer, or if you're fitting component speakers that need more power than a head unit delivers. Factory head units put out around 18 watts RMS per channel, which isn't enough to drive aftermarket speakers cleanly.

Coaxials are cheaper and easier to fit. Components separate the tweeter so it can mount higher in the cabin, which gives noticeably better imaging. For any serious upgrade, components are the right choice.

A digital signal processor fine-tunes the audio for the acoustics of your specific vehicle. Most drivers don't need one. For reference builds, factory-integrated systems or difficult cabins, it's transformative. Audison Bit and Alpine DSP units are the strongest options we stock.

Audio Emporium is an authorised Australian dealer for Alpine Status, sold exclusively through our Northern Beaches showroom in Sydney. Status is Alpine's reference-tier range — a step above the standard Alpine line in component design, build quality and sound performance. Status systems require professional expert installation to perform as designed, which is why Alpine restricts the range to in-store sale through accredited dealers. A team of fully qualified auto electricians and audio technicians, with over 30 years of car audio experience across the team. Auto electrical qualifications matter for modern vehicles — factory CAN-bus systems, sensitive electronics and warranty preservation depend on installation being done to a standard most general installers don't reach. We use OEM-grade wiring looms and connectors throughout, and every job is warranty-backed.

Custom work is considered on request. Send us your vehicle and brief, and we'll come back with a quote if the project fits.

For any system above entry level, yes. A dense self-adhesive material applied to doors, floor, roof and boot reduces road noise and lets your speakers perform as designed.

Yes. Audio Emporium installs car alarms, immobilisers (Ghost II, Dynamco) and GPS trackers (Viper) at our Northern Beaches workshop. For modern keyless vehicles we generally recommend an immobiliser; for older vehicles, an alarm. Send us your vehicle details or call us on 1300 856 888 and we'll recommend what fits.

An alarm detects a break-in or impact and sounds a siren — designed to alert and deter. An immobiliser prevents the engine from starting without authorisation — designed to stop theft outright. Modern vehicles include a factory immobiliser, but it's tied to the key fob, which makes it vulnerable to relay attacks. Aftermarket immobilisers like Ghost II add a second layer that can't be bypassed that way. For most newer vehicles, we'd recommend an immobiliser over or alongside an alarm — but both have their place depending on the vehicle.

Choosing & Buying

Send us the make, model and year via the Contact page or call us on [PHONE]. We'll confirm fitment for head units, AV units, multimedia systems, speakers, subwoofers, amplifiers, reverse cameras and security products — and let you know which fascia kits, harnesses, brackets or interface modules you'll need.

Our showroom and workshop are on Sydney's Northern Beaches at [FULL ADDRESS]. Most of our installation customers come from the Northern Beaches, but we also see regular bookings from the North Shore, Inner West, Eastern Suburbs and Sydney CBD — generally because there isn't a comparable car audio installer closer to them. Sydney-wide installation enquiries welcome.

Afterpay and Zip are available at checkout within their limits. For larger Sydney installs, deposit and balance-on-completion splits are common.
